You can actually use it now.

As of Friday, cp_toxic will be in the map pool. cp_toxic is a new map developed by DarkSlayer which attempts to bring some new and incredibly interesting gameplay elements into competitive play. As with all custom maps, you can download the map from here over at our map download page, or just get it automatically via fast download when you first play it.

Just found this old picture browsing through the old pixelgaming.eu web server before I finally got rid of it.

Currently we’re at 5000+ pickups since then (including the ~2200 prior to the purge back in February. Hopefully things will be even better over the next 12 months.

Hey guys.

So there’s been a bit of discussion and I’ve had a few PM’s about this weapon in regards to the Pickup. I’m personally erring on the side of banning it, but hopefully this poll can let us have a good community decision on it.

Reasons For Banning:

• The sound makes it difficult to hear.
• We want vanilla+medlocks, there should no exceptions.
• The center viewmodel/firing gives an unfair advantage in some situations.

Reasons Against Banning:

• It’s just a re-skin.
•  You can already set an RL to on the left or right, why does it matter if its in the middle?

More than a year after it was created, we’ve finally got around to creating a website for Pixel Pickup!
