Pixel Pickup is an IRC based pickup channel in Europe for Team Fortress 2. It allows you to easily join up as a class you’d wish to play, and then quickly get a game with other highly skilled players; all entirely automated. One of our biggest aims with the channel is to foster a community that values teamwork and improvement, over “soloing” and playing for the frags. To do this, one of the biggest differences between other places such as TF2Lobby and higher skilled public servers, is that joining your team on mumble (a VoIP chat program) and actually making use of communication with your team mate is compulsory. If you’d like to try out competitive 6v6 TF2, then this is definitely the place to start.

However despite all this, it’s worth remembering that everyone is here to have fun. Be civil  and polite with each other, and you’ll always enjoy yourself.
