Please read them carefully. We encourage all players in the respective pickups to report no-shows, mutes, cheaters etc. by using !report NAME REASON either in the channel, or in a query to PixelTF2Bot if you don’t wish it to be public. 1) This channel is now OPEN for everyone. So basically everyone is welcome to join and play our Pickups! 2) You must have Mumble 1.2 (or newer) installed on your computer, join your respective team channel during pickups and have an at least similar name on Mumble as on IRC. You must be able to speak English well enough for the others to understand the comms you make; also you are required to use at least basic ones (e.g. call enemies’ locations/health). If you happen to be playing with a few others who understand your native language, we don’t mind you talking your language with these players in the ready-up period, however during the match, comms should be limited to English only so everyone understands each other. 3) Try to be on the server within 5 minutes of the pickup having started. This is enough for you to restart you PC if you need to or get a sub if you cannot play for some reason. If that is the case, please inform your team as well. If you know you won’t be able to finish the game because you will have to eat/make a phone call/do something else, please don’t sign up. If something unforeseen happens, try to find a sub in the pickup channel by writing which class is needed and on which team/server as soon as possible and inform your team.4) You should generally try not be a dick to all other players, as this game and pickup is meant to be fun for all. Common sense applies here, constant raging is bad. On the other hand, if someone IS a dick/plays really bad/does not talk, please do use the !report command to tell the admins – only this way we can weed out the ones who make the pickups less fun.5) Remember: Playing in these pickups is a privilege, not a right. We do not care if you are a “close friend” to many good players, if you don’t fit the criteria or decide to be stupid and ignore the things we say, then the banhammer won’t miss you either.
Failure to abide by these rules after accepting them WILL be punished (at the discretion of the admins). The following offences will receieve a guarenteed ban:
- Not joining Mumble/being a mute after having been warned: 1 week ban.
- No-show: 1 week ban for several offences within a short timeframe. If you actually can’t play, don’t sign up or ask for someone else to play as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or ideas regarding the rules or the pickup, please do post them in this forum. Also, we encourage you to invite players you know are good and be strong enough to say “no” to the ones you know are not on the skill level suited for this pickup.
